Katie lost her first tooth yesterday. She also proved to us that she can swim in deep water (she's only 5) and she can jump (over and over again) off of the diving board. It was a big day for her. Don't laugh too much at the picture -- that was the only way we could make sure you'd be able to see her teeth ;)

When our kids lost their teeth, the tooth fairy sometimes forgot to leave a present. After a few years, the tooth fairy just gave up.
Congrats to Katie for all the accomplishments!

Katie obviously has no clue who the tooth fairy is - it's actually more of a deal for Mary - she says "Katie can't be left out". Mary wanted the tooth fairy to leave candy for Katie -- not sure that candy is the tooth fairy's ideal gift choice. :)
Her swimming accomplishments are fantastic. She sounds fearless!
